Shining the Light

Hello SALT sisters!  Hope you are having a great day.  By the way, I want to remind us all what SALT stands for: Sisters Abiding in Light and Truth.  When we have Jesus in our hearts, we have the light of the world living in us.   Do we always show and reflect the light of Jesus?   I certainly don't, although my desire is to do so.  There are times that I choose to listen to worries and fears over simply trusting God.  Other times, I dim the light in my heart by refusing to forgive someone or acting out in anger.  Regardless the sin, God longs for us to confess and repent and allow His light to shine in and through us again. This old world gets darker each day.  It is so important that we let the light of Jesus shine in everything we do or say.  Let's draw close to Christ today; ask Him to search our hearts and see if there is anything that might hinder His light from shining brightly to a dark hopeless world.
Love in Christ,
Melaina

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.  Matthew 5:13-16
