 Let us take a moment to introduce ourselves:

Stacy Vance: 
My name is Stacy and I'm a wife, mom, and teacher.  I love Jesus and humbly serve Him as He leads. My husband Craig and I have been married for 25 years.   Together we have three kids; one son who is married, my oldest daughter in college and my youngest daughter in high school.  I have four dachshunds that we adore.  Craig and I have been serving in the ministry for 21 years in churches located in North and East Texas areas.

Melaina Ferrell:
My name is Melaina.  I'm a wife, mom, Maemee  and a writer.  Jesus is my everything; in Him and through Him is the only way I can live.  My husband, Chad, and I have been married 25 years. Together we have three grown sons, one daughter in love and a precious 1 year old grandson.   Chad and I have been in ministry over 25 years leading worship, traveling as music evangelists, leading youth groups and more.
  
Stacy & Melaina:
Our hope is that we can glorify God by encouraging other women to love and seek Him in everything.  We want to be real and honest while making clear that all our hope is in Jesus.  Come along with us as we journey together!

I have been crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.  And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Shining the Light

Hello SALT sisters!  Hope you are having a great day.  By the way, I want to remind us all what SALT stands for: Sisters Abiding in Light and Truth.  When we have Jesus in our hearts, we have the light of the world living in us.   Do we always show and reflect the light of Jesus?   I certainly don't, although my desire is to do so.  There are times that I choose to listen to worries and fears over simply trusting God.  Other times, I dim the light in my heart by refusing to forgive someone or acting out in anger.  Regardless the sin, God longs for us to confess and repent and allow His light to shine in and through us again. This old world gets darker each day.  It is so important that we let the light of Jesus shine in everything we do or say.  Let's draw close to Christ today; ask Him to search our hearts and see if there is anything that might hinder His light from shining brightly to a dark hopeless world. Live Again!

As I am sitting here pondering this past week and the wonderful revival we had at church, I can’t help but feel overwhelmingly grateful for Jesus and His love for us. I’m rejuvenated, excited, and so incredibly thankful that I have a Savior who loves unconditionally. I want to shout from the mountain tops to the ends of the earth that Jesus is ALIVE and that He LOVES you and me! But what does REVIVAL truly mean? What do you think of when you hear the word “revival?” Do you think of a temporary state of being, a certain way to feel emotionally after a jump start to yourself or others, or do you feel an elated state of happiness? While all these maybe true, the dictionary defines “revive” as returning to consciousness or life: becoming active or flourishing again. Just like a flower after a hard winter buds and blooms again, it shows that it becomes alive again with the newness of the welcoming, warm weather and the fresh Spring season. Sunshine and a Little Yellow Flower

Simple things in life...have you thought about them lately? This season of life that I am in right now has me all up in tears one moment and then smiling the next.  I think God has turned my emotional button up a notch...or three.  When I am in a season like this, it's hard at times to focus on the simple things in life around you.  We are faced with all kinds of life obstacles to hurdle and at times we have the giants of self-doubt and fear blocking the way.  Today, I just needed to get out and think about something else.  I needed fresh air and sunshine.  So, I decided to go to town and walk around the square.  This square is just beautiful.  It abounds in beauty of flowers, greenery, a large fountain, pretty park benches and the most prettiest courthouse.  It was a good day to stroll through, enjoy the light breeze, and soak up some Vitamin D.
